The W3C WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) produces accessibility guidelines that are an internationally recognised benchmark of accessibility.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>In designing this site, we have attempted to meet the WAI\u2019s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 requirements (success criteria) and techniques.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h3>Making text bigger<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3><p>Usually you will be able to increase the size of the text on web pages as follows:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li>pressing the Control key [Ctrl] at the same time as plus (+) to make it bigger;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>pressing the Control key [Ctrl] at the same time as minus (-) to make it smaller;;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>for Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, select Text size from the View menu;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>for hold the Control key and use the scroll wheel on your mouse;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>or hold the Control key and use the \u2018+\u2019 symbol to increase the text size.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3>Settings on an iPhone or iPad<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3><p>If you use an iPhone or iPad to access the internet you can change the zoom settings to make it easier for you as follows;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li>go to Settings &gt; General &gt; Accessibility and enable Zoom<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>double-tap with three fingers to zoom the entire screen of your iPhone\/iPod\/iPad<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>to move around, either hold three fingers on the screen and drag to show different parts of the screen, or hold one finger along the edge of the screen to pan<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>if you need to zoom in more, double-tap with three fingers and drag up or down<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>to zoom back out, double-tap again with three fingers<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>You can also configure the \u2018home button\u2019 to turn on zoom when you triple-click it.<\/p><h3>Navigation aids<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3><p>A \u2018breadcrumb\u2019 link is available at the top of each page to help you navigate.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h3>Images<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3><p>We aim to ensure that all content and decorative images on this site include descriptive ALT attributes. ALT titles are provided to explain the content or the purpose of the image in question.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h3>Document formats<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3><p>Many of the recruitment campaign publications on this website are available in PDF format to enable easier reading and printing offline. This format is not always readily accessible to people with disabilities. Because of this, we have provided most documents with synopses<\/p><p>that go some way to providing an alternative format to the PDF documents.
